For me, Miksang provides influences in two important areas.  First, it has given me an integrating framework for approaching my various creative pursuits.  Attempting to remove “neurotic” mind from the game whether I am shooting pictures or dancing is profoundly and richly rewarding.  Second, in my chosen hectic life, Miksang is my primary outlet to cultivate a contemplative state of mind.  Finally, I have this consistent experience of walking into a museum or other venue for art, and being more struck with the “ordinary” images I see after leaving and simply walking outside - the simple gift of “seeing”.
